D8-510 IMO III

7.7 liter, in-line 6 cylinder

D8-510 is an in-line 6-cylinder, 7.7-liter diesel engine using common-rail fuel injection, overhead camshaft, and a twin-entry turbo. The engine offers excellent maneuverability at low speeds, high power-to-weight ratio, and low fuel consumption.

Our D8 IMO Tier III engine is perfectly matched to our SCR-based aftertreatment system. The engine is based on Volvo Penta’s existing D8 engine, which means that the engine footprint is the same and there are common interfaces. This makes it easy for our existing customers to install. Our D8 IMO III engine is also designed to cope with high exhaust back pressure and is equipped to withstand the toughest of marine conditions.
